The IdentityX Authenticator summary describes how this application acts as the interface between the customer and IdentityX on the phone.  The IdentityX Authenticator SDK is a toolkit that supports embedded application development.

The IdentityX Authenticator SDK provides the ability for a Service Provider to embed the IdentityX Authenticator functionality into their own mobile device application. If a Service Provider already has a mobile app that performs a function specific to the Service Provider, they may wish to simply embed IdentityX into this smart phone application rather than having their customers access a separate application for authentication.  Under this scenario, the SDK supports this integration and allows the Service Provider's own application to take the place of the IdentityX Authenticator application in the system architecture that has been described.

For example, an online bank can use IdentityX to authenticate any transactions that are attempted.  Some of the bank's customers will perform transactions on their desktop computers, while others will use the bank's own mobile phone application.  In either case, the bank may wish for IdentityX authentication to occur within the bank's mobile application, rather than a separate IdentityX application.  Using the IdentityX Authenticator SDK, the bank can integrate this functionality directly into their own mobile application, creating a seamless experience for their customers.
